Who may be a client?

A client can choose the Legal Aid Office he prefers. See the list on state legal aid offices on the web site of the Ministry of Justice.

Legal aid is given on the basis of the applicant's financial position and the applicant has to deliver the necessary declarations to the Legal Aid Office. You will find the list on the declarations and the application form on the web site of the Ministry of Justice.

Legal aid is free of charge for persons of limited means. Other applicants have to pay part of the costs. Depending on their income the applicant also have to pay a fixed legal aid fee of 70 €. You will find more information on income limits and partial compensations on the web site of the Ministry of Justice.
