European legal remedies

Finnish public authorities and courts must see to the fulfilment of the obligations arising from European Community law and the European Convention on Human Rights. As a rule, domestic legal remedies must be exhausted before recourse to the European institutions. However, in certain cases it is possible to approach the European institutions directly.
