National Administrative Office for Enforcement, founded on 1 January 2010, is the central administrative office in the field of enforcement. The Office is responsible for the administrative management, guidance and supervision of the enforcement service in Finland. The Office is in particular responsible for the regional availability of enforcement services.
The National Administrative Office for Enforcement is responsible for enforcement tasks that earlier fell within the responsibility of the Enforcement Unit in the Ministry of Justice and the judicial authorities in the former State Provincial Offices. Provisions on the duties of the Office have been laid down in the Act on the National Administrative Office for Enforcement (Laki Valtakunnanvoudinvirastosta 519/2009) and in the Enforcement Code (Ulosottokaari 705/2007).
